Sweet, Sweet, honey, this beer tastes more like a cocktail than a larger and is the definition of crushable.

Pouring a golden amber as beautiful as the treasure from a pharoah's tomb, it offers only a very little head. Initially upon the inhale I am a little dissapointed by a slightly iron metallic scent that I'm attributing to the hops used to bitter this beer. Further exploration reveals hints of honey and floral spicy aroma. Happily this combination is what carries onto the tongue. Lightly floral and honey with a mild grainy finish. Balancing nicely between light and malty it is bittered nicely. It is only my opinion so for whatever that is worth, I think they chose the wrong hops for this beer. I do not know what the story or inspiration is so who am I to judge but I think it could have been far better had the used a different one. Unique and tasty it falls short of being excellent but remains enjoyable anyway. A bit forgettable.

New beer day at one of the local shops. I was excited to see a new Amber ale to allow me a rest from winter ales and stouts. It graced my glass with a very nice looking Amber liquid and produces a respectable cream 2 finger head that was slightly loose, shrank quickly and left a spider web of thin traces. I was greeted with delightful caramel, biscuit, cracker, and something a little earthy in the aromas. A swirl and a second sinus sample revealed earthy hops and a slight metallic tang. Still hopeful I set about satiating my salivating sauce sampler and swallowed a swig. Sigh... Thin, watery, and and a bit bland. It did have some caramel and biscuit, but it also had that bit of metallic flavour. If the malt had given this a better backbone, the hops would have been perfect. Instead they were left hanging and probably feeling foolish. Now unknown I've been a little harsh on this Amber, and I probably wouldn't buy it again, but it was better than no beer. If someone were to offer me one I would accept and help dispose of it in a most gentlemanly manner. But I would not want a commemorative photo of it and myself lest I be seen as less than discriminating. No bonus points.

A deep reddish black, with a decent slightly darkish head. Tantalizing mellow roast chocolate caramel aroma with floral suggestions and a bit of hops. The first sip reveals smooth, mild, slightly chocolatey, dark caramel and delightful chamomile taste that sweetens then slowly starts to allow a bit of the roast flavour to come forward and bring with it a wee bit of hops spiciness. As it warms and I get to know it, it seems to leave an interesting taste that reminds me of some kind of candy that I might possibly have never had. An odd nostalgia. I can definitely pick up the pilsner foundation of this beer but it has become so much more. I really like it. Wonderful.

MMM Absolutely delicious! Didn't know what to expect from the chamomile angle but it's ever so subtle and adds a wonderful dynamic. Dark and strong, but really well balanced. Full bodied flavor throughout with just the smallest sharp bite at the end! Wow really enjoyable, I will definitely be adding this to my buy again list !
