Oli niin jääkylmää, että olisi ollut melkein sama mitä tuopissa oli. Lopussa jotain vahvoja sitrusmakuja periamerikkalaiseen tapaan

Past post from a previous trip to Southern Prohibition Brewing.
Came in a 4 oz sniffer glass. It's the one on the right. No head, opaque brown color. Very faint aroma of bourbon. Soft and creamy texture, almost getting syrupy. An abundance of flavor. Bourbon hits you fast, that 10% actually seems stronger. Vanilla is so strong it seems like an extract. I get notes of coconut which isn't in the beer's description. The sweetness of the vanilla carries straight through the finish and lingers.
I love dessert stouts and the sweet ones especially, but this is overdone and too sweet for even me. This would make a great addition to a scoop of vanilla ice cream but not so much for sipping a beer. Great flavor but the intensity held back it's rating.
As a side note, that grilled cheese made with Swiss cheese and sauteed onions was fabulous.

In a small 4 oz sniffer glass so no head to speak of. Opaque brown color. Very soft and creamy texture. Alcohol is evident and seams stronger than 7.1%. Full of flavor. Immediately taste chocolate brownies with vanilla in the background but not hidden. Heavy on the malt which is delicious. Can't believe that this isn't an imperial stout instead of a brown ale. I love these type of dessert stouts.

Came in a flight so no head. Lightly hazy and more brown than red. Red ale flavor with a little bitter kick in the middle. Has a very earthy and rustic quality. The finish adds a little more to the bitterness. For an imperial I'm not really getting that much alcohol. Still a very good flavor.

Enjoyed this Hattiesburg blonde ale with friends at our reunion. Fantastic seeing 280 Alabama Track alumni from the past 50 years come together. Ages 23 to 87. Had a great dinner and beer later that night.
Light and creamy ale. Very smooth and basic. Not trying to be fancy or exotic. Just a well-made easy going beer that blends perfectly with dinner.

Had a friend bring me this Imperial IPA from Hattiesburg Mississippi. Very thick and frothy head. Has an orange tint to it. Deep orange color that is opaque hazy. Aroma is citrusy leaning towards tangerine. Texture is medium to somewhat thin. Has a mild hops bitterness up front. It then becomes very sweet, a natural citrus type sweet, not sugary. Flavor is of blood orange with the finish giving it that pity orange peel characteristic. Level of bitterness increases late in the finish.
For an imperial IPA I found this at its best at the beginning. Mildness of bitterness and the blood orange flavor was something I enjoyed. The increase of the bitterness in the finish wasn't my favorite. Still it's a overall refreshing beer.
