At Fairhope Brewing yesterday having a flight of five.
Has a deep copper color, clear. Sweet amber malt flavor, not strong, could be a little stronger, malty, bready that is more like a ritz cracker without the salt. Very easy drinking. I could sit back and spend a day with this but I love ambers.

This is unique! Ryan says that aroma isn't just jalapeños, it's ground jalapeño. The arona will clear the sinuses. Scarey. I'll go back and say it has an old brass golden color and clear. Now the taste. Those jalapeños come right at you....but not in a painful manner. Just a strong flavor that allows the pale ale to still be found and enjoyed. This is a really good beer. Unlike Ryan, I would not seek this beer for a stand alone brew, on the beach or tube. But to have with tacos or any Mexican food, an absolute winner.

At Fairhope Brewing yesterday having a flight of five. Have been wanting to visit this brewery for a long time. Very popular place in this very quaint community.
Has the deepest red color as only a few photons pass through. Very faint citrus aroma of orange peel. These totally full 5 oz glasses make it hard to evaluate. Take a sip and Pow. Flavor hits fast and hard. Heavy malt, grapefruit pith, semi-sweet that sprints into an intensely heavy roasted and very bitter finish. Black IPA's can be strong and overpowering and this accomplished it. It's not my kind of beer but I believed they made a good black IPA.

Totally opaque brown color, not much head in these five ounce taster glasses. I get peanut butter in the aroma. Flavor is really sweet. The peanut butter is pretty good, texture is creamy, not too heavy. Finish brings a cola quality
I like this but it would have been better if the confectionary sugar was not so strong. A little unbalanced but still pretty good.

Clear reddish brown. Chai is upfront with traces of nutmeg. Flavor is a bit disappointing. Not very strong, chai and ginger overwhelm any malt character, dry and bitter finish. Finally found mild sweet traces of honey very late in the finish. I was expecting more.

Spending the New Year holidays in Gulf Shores. Went to Fairhope Brewing today and will post some beers later. It's been a long time since I've had this.
A finger and a half of deep tan head. Coffee forward flavor in a thin texture brew. Earthy with light molasses sweetness. Even level of flavor that makes it very drinkable. You can sit back and sip it or put it down fast. I think it's a good beer.

I've had beers from Fairhope in lower Alabama before and enjoyed them all.
Nice head, light orange and frothy. Orange with traces of yellow color, small amount of fine haze. Citrus aroma. Softer texture than I would expect for an IPA. Citrus flavor of a combination of grapefruit, lemon peel, and something tropical, perhaps guava. Has a modest level of bitterness which is a little stronger during the finish.
I'm not an IPA lover but this is a darn good beer. Because of the low bitter level I could enjoy several of these.
