Tropical IPA surrounded by Finnish snow flakes. There we go.
Relatively lucid, pale gold is the color. The carbonation is a bit introvert as one can judge from the moussy head that reaches one finger only. Still, a foamy ring is sustained quite long on the top.
Pineapple is unbeatable in the fragrance. Really hefty. Other components include honeydew, lychee, papaya and strawberry, in this order of intensity. Astonishingly tropical and seductive. Lactose is copious in the air, too.
The taste profile is tropical and juicy but disguises the overwhelming dominance of the pineapple nicely. Pineapple can be captured, for sure, but the balance with the rest of the elements is better. I can additionally find mandarin, orange peel, melon, carambola, maybe even unripe mango. Alcohol is not entirely hidden but not disturbing either. The maltbill remains mysterious to me, as if a bit of wheat but then not really...
The body is medium. Not thin, nor robust either. The finish increases the role of lemon and raw fruits as well as gives a slightly chemical sensation because of the alcoholic punch. Ride on, see the aftertaste;
I could never go with it, no matter how I wanted to.
The mouthfeel is medium-full, zesty, a bit tropical, intense and distantly sharp. Somewhat ripe but not massively overripe.
I checked the best before: the bottom of the can says "Best enjoyed by 06/01/2023". It means that this is 5.5 months past the expiry. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for this but I do remember that it was on discount because of the age. What I didn't know or wasn't vigilant enough to pay attention to was that the beer had already passed the expiry, so it shouldn't have been sold at all in the first place.
On the other hand, this is still fairly nice. Of course, I can't know what it would have been like when fresh but it has stood the test of time very well, no matter what. It's not the fault of the beer that it was sold overage. And for that particular reason, +0.5 stars extra.

Indiana Jones esittää: PE: 06/18/2023. Reilunsormenleveyden verran vaaleaa vaahtoa utuisen aprikoosinkeltaisen valoaläpipäästävän semiläpinäkyvän oluen yllä joka tuoksuu kepeän limemäisen suolaisen maltaiselle ja maistuu kuivan pajuisen limemäisen ihan hintsun suolaisen maltaiselle, kaks ja puol bojoo.
