Basically limpid, deep gold beer with a faint haze, however, and slightly introverted carbonation. The emerging head falls short of one finger, bears a pure white tint, and dissipates fast to a hair-thin ring on the surface. Apricot, orange zest and peel, biscuit and malt constitute the olfactory sphere of this beer. Soft and fruity. The taste profile is fruity and not particularly brave. I find apricot, grapefruit, orange peel, a hint of pine resin, biscuit and malt. The body is light to light-medium. The end is citrusy and resinous, and dies fairly fast. The sensation is light-medium, zesty, pithy and moderately resinous. Also faintly dry and drying. Okayish.

Incredible Greek micro brewery. Rich caramel taste

Das Kasta Stout ist ein Mitbringsel aus Kreta. Man kann es im kleinen Kasta Lädchen in Heraklion kaufen. Das Stout ist nich nucht ganz schwarz und baut kaum Schaum auf. Der Duft ist sehr schön nach Vanille mit sanfter Süße. Die Vanille wird geschmacklich mit frinen Röstmalzen untermalt. Dazu passend gibt es auch eine angenehme Bitterkeit vom Hopfen. Das Oatmeal Stout ist keinesfalls dünn wie andere Stouts. Das Bier ist süffig und macht Lust auf ein Zweites. Selten so ein gehaltvolles Stout unter 5% abv getrunken.

Die Mikrobrauerei aus Heraklion, die es möglichweise inzwischen nicht mehr gibt, hat(te) das Immortal IPA im Programm. Das IPA gibt es aber z.B. noch Sitia, im Osten von Kreta und das Haltbarkeitsdatum war noch nicht abgelaufen. Das Bier zeigt sich leicht trüb und goldgelb, der Schaum ist gut beständig. Hochwertiges IPA, sehr harmonisch und weich im Antrunk. Etwas Pinie, dazu viele Fruchtnuancen. Keine drängt sich zu sehr in den Vordergrund, trotzdem schmecke ich Orange, Mango und etwas Ananas. Die moderate Herbe setzt passend am Ende des Schlucks ein. Erfrischend und absolut lecker.

Vähän vaahtoava, vähillä hiilihapoilla. Mausta löytyy sitruunaa ja hapanta omenaa. Maku hyvä, hazy ja ipa molemmat vähän uupuu nimikkeestä.
