Aubel, Belgium
chevron_leftchevron_right
Abbaye du Val-Dieu brewery originated from the talented works of the Cistercian monks. In an effort to prevent cholera, typhoid, dysentery and other diseases from drinking unclean water, the monks spent many years studying yeasts and fermentation that became the original recipes for beer brewing in Val-Dieu. The Abbaye Du Val-Dieu brewery takes pride in its type of yeast and water. Yeast, which is made up of the fungi ‘Saccharomyces Cerevisiae’ is brewed that provides the beers with vitamin B and minerals that are healthy for people to consume. The region has numerous water springs that provide excellent quality of water.

Hazy red Belgian Fruit Beer with cherry juice adjuncts. Semi sweet as expected with cherry and red berries pushing through on aroma and taste. Also something that is reminiscent of strawberries but still slightly twisted. Some yeasts and bitterness at background. Alcohol is well hidden so somewhat sneaky too 🍻

Erittäin hyvä. Ei maistu yhtään oluelta. Vahva vadelman tuoksu. Maistuu herkulliselta vadelmamehulta

Bière dessert de toute fin d'une soirée très arrosé, je me souviens de quelque chose de puissant mais bien maîtrisé, malt bien en avant et goût d'épices. Une très bonne bière d'abbaye.
