Salama Brewing Company
Espoo, Finland

We are a Finland-based independent craft brewery specialising in modern extravagant beers, especially aromatic hop-forward IPAs, silky Imperial Stouts and innovative mixed-fermentation ales. Founded by four craft beer loving friends in 2018 and now quickly expanding across the cosmos, our brewery is driven by friendship, shared passion for creativity and love for communal ethos of the craft beer culture. By keeping your taste buds and minds continuously intrigued, we aim to produce sensations that drive the electrical impulses in your brain wild and make you want to share your excitement with the world. We want to turn strangers into friends, friends into lovers and lovers into a family that cherishes megalomanic visions, strange stories and bad jokes that always seem to cross at least our minds after a few great brewskies.

This beer wears relatively foggy, deep orange. The carbonation acts like a lazy squirrel when it tries to release a small-bubbled head. The foamy crown measures less than one finger and dies hastily to zero. Lemon zest, grated dried lemon peel and an oaky hint are the key players in the scent. Moreover, I can spot something mineral but can't recognize what it is. It's like a wet stone on a sea shore. The first sip reveals sour mango, zesty lemon pulp, tangerine and canned mandarin. A wheaty bed is soft but flat. Additionally, there's a mushy note, it must be the tequila agave absorbed by the aging barrel but I can't, honestly speaking, identify it without knowing in advance. The body is light. The end is fruity, the composition doesn't change a bit. We're driving to the dawn, along coasts, across the whole country; we drive fast, but the aftertaste's silent; you can pour tequila into my belly button. The mouthfeel is light, flat, soft, smooth and marginally barrel aged. It's also zesty, pulpy, overripe as well as moderately dry. Less edgy than I feared. Reasonable.
