Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #21
Bottle date unknown (can no longer read it)
Rich chocolate notes, bourbon, vanilla and oak are all present and very noticeable in the aroma. Taste has bourbon first, followed by chocolate and vanilla. The oak shows up in the mid-palate and lingers through the finish and into the aftertaste.
The body is full with an appropriately low amount of carbonation.
This is just great. This is everything regular Dragon's Milk is, but amplified in the best way. Knowing what I know now, I wish I'd bought a ton more. Oh well, that's life. 4.75/5

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #17
Bottled on 11-16-2017
Slightly roasty, subtle bourbon and chocolate notes in the aroma. Taste has bourbon, chocolate notes, roasted malts and oak in the finish.
The body is medium-full with a low amount of carbonation, likely due to the age.
Back to the basics with this one. A classic with nothing fancy in it. The bourbon is much more noticeable than I remember experiencing in more recent releases, but it's been quite some time since I've had one, so I could just be mis-remembering. 4.25/5

Great stout! This is a stout that you can sip like fine wine. It has a good balance of sweet and bitter with notes of vanilla, chocolate and oak.
