This Abita limited series lager has been in my cabinet for quite a while. Hope it hasn't gone bad. Medium sized head and it's continuing like that. Fruity smell. Burnt orange color and very hazy. The peanut butter hits first and fast. Almost immediately behind it, a distinctive strawberry jam. Personally, I always used grape jelly, but the strawberries good. The robust flavor at the beginning quickly trails off in the finish. Tart strawberry remains but the peanut butter is gone. Late in the finish, for the first time, this actually tastes like a lager, with the malt characteristics you would expect. This is good. It is unique but not enough to make me search for a six pack. I do recommend you try it once just for the fun of having a PB&J in a glass.

ULKOASULTAAN olut on sameahkoa meripihkanruskeaa ja siihen nousee valkoinen vaahto. TUOKSU on on dänkki ja puisen pihkainen. MAKU on mausteinen, puinen ja havuinen. Kevyt maltaisuus nousee läpi. SUUTUNTUMA on keskitäyteläinen ja keskiasteisesti hapotettu. Menee seuran kanssa jutellessa.

Found this fantastic glass at a local thrift store. Has alligator hide and everything. Then I found the beer. Perfect combination. Small white head, it's lasting. Heavy sweet malt aroma. Color, while looking between the scales, is clear medium orange. Medium texture, heavier than a pilsner. Flavor immediately gives a high-end sweet tart experience and sourdough bread. It's a rich, deep Amber with notes of what could be ripe apricot. Towards the middle, a little caramel is revealed. The finish turns dry and leaves black pepper sitting on the tongue. I spent more than half the beer trying to understand the flavors, they were not readily identifiable. But after that, you could sit back and actually enjoy drinking several of these. Glad I bought a six pack. The next five will the enjoyed to the fullest. Photos can't show how cool this glass really is.

My second scary beer of the day, first a sour and now a bubble gum IPA. This is what Saturdays are for. At least I get to use my Abita glass. Short head, disappears. Barely misty hazy, medium yellow color. Light citrus aroma, no bubble gum yet. Oh, wow, (shutter)!!! It could not be that bad, not from Abita. I'll try again. Ahhhhh! Imagine chewing a fresh piece of Bubblicious pink bubble gum and taking a big gulp of tangerine juice. Horrible 🤮!! Fun idea to make it but whose idea was it to bottle this and ship it out with your name on it? 🤔 I even took a third sip just because it's Abita but this is going down the sink.

Big flavor, easy drinkin. Yes. Pienesti makea, tropiikin hetelmää, hyvä kombo ja balanssi. Ei liian tiukka. Prossat yllättää, mutta kokonaisuuten on vajaa 4 pojoo.
