Brick Brewery
London, England
chevron_leftchevron_right
The once much-maligned South London neighbourhood of Peckham has become remarkably fashionable of late. A stroll around the conservation area south of the High Street will take you down elegant Victorian streets, past gastropubs, a lovely book shop, a fancy butchers, many good restaurants and, the cherry on the cake, a brewery. The Brick Brewery is, like many of London's new breed, based in a railway arch - and they brew a fairly similar range too, which bridges the gap between British tradition and American hopmania. It's good, then, that they also brew a pilsner; London needs more lager.

It pours almost brown in colour, hazy, with a cream coloured head. Aroma and flavour are of tropical fruits.

Not overly sour, the floating bits don't really add to its appeal. Not unpleasant.
