Not sure what's Italian about this pilsner but it certainly looks nice.
Poured straw yellow, semi transparent with a quarter finger of foamy white head, which while not much, was robust enough to last the whole hog.
Scents of cereal, some wheat and barley, nothing particularly, with a mild citrus note at the end.
The beer is light bodied, not what I would associate with a pilsner. Though it does come with a nice crisp bite, lots of carbonation throughout and a mild foaminess toward the end.
Taste is much like the scent, though after the cereals and citrus there is a mild bubblegum funk that I would normally find in a weiss.
An acceptable lager but noting to write home about.

Once upon a time in Irish 'pub culture', a man would have a pint of Guinness while his female companion would have the ladies drink of Guinness with a dash of blackcurrant squah/cordial.
I suppose a craft beer version is long overdue.
Poured well from the can and left a nice bubbly, deeply chocolatey, brown body with one finger of foamy, mocha coloured head.
Aromas of black coffee, with black chocolate bringing a little sweetness. Some generic dried fruit can be found lingering at the back and after a few seconds the blackcurrant emerges out of this. Although, the chocolate intensifies too and remains the dominant scent in there.
Moutheel is foamy for the first half but flat for the second, not in a strictly bad way. It is still medium bodied, maintains a smoothness and doesn't tread into 'creamy' territory.
Taste is gentle dried fruits at the start, again not explicitly blackcurrant. Then the chocolate rolls in before getting pushed aside by the coffee. Both pass uneventfully as the dried fruit returns and takes up it's place in the aftertaste.
A fairly generic stout, that didn't promise too much, then fell short anyway. Still a decent dry stout.
