Ryan and I are having our first Duo beer since I left Texas. An Imperial IPA from Magnolia Texas. Hazy but not as much as I thought it might be. Sweet citrus aroma. Texture is soft and creamy. This multi-brew has a lemony citrus with notes of guava and a sweetness from an unfiltered honey. Extremely dangerous beer, especially if you're having this outdoors, because that 10% alcohol is hidden. You could kick back and have a few of these and accidentally go past your limit. Bitterness in the finish is moderate throughout. That appeals to me so, yes, I like this beer.

Pehmeä ja tasapainoinen ipa. Tuoksussa ehkä hiven hiivamaisuutta.

Prevalent flavors of fresh ginger, lime juice, and dirty dish water.

Sadly, SOTS 2023 is over. Traditional stopover at Clear Springs to have catfish on our way back to Houston. Best catfish on the planet. Nitro brown ale starts with a very small head, small bubbles. Sweet malt aroma. The nitro aspect makes yhis very soft. Good roasted flavor with notes of brown sugar. Toasted coffee hits the middle while sweet cocoa develops in the finish. Overall, a wonderful sweet brown ale.

Still in Texas with my daughter and son-in-law. This ghost pepper chili Porter actually scary to try. But what the hell, here we go. Going into the glasses producing an incredible amount of deep tan head. That stuff is really lasting also, not moving at all. Finally moves down then a slight swirl brings it all back. Mild malt aroma. Texture not as heavy as expected, medium consistency. Strong deep roasted lightly sweet coffee malt, a chili pepper burn, and the finish ads some brown sugar, almost to a molasses. The chili 🌶️ burn continues long into the finish. Good beer that keeps on giving a pepper and sweet molasses long after the last sip. Super powerful for a porter.
