Pullotettu 27.10.2017. Untappdissa tämä batch #4 on pisteillä 4.43. Matalalla beigellä vaahdolla tummaa olutta, punertaa hiukan reunoilta. Vaahto laskee nopsaan ja jää renkaaksi lasin reunoille. Tuoksu on paksun siirappinen ja tynnyrinen. Tumman suklainen. Maku on siirappisen suklainen, tynnyri on hienosti läsnä ja 16% tuntuu suussa ja nielussa, muttei maistu. Hiilihappoja mukavasti liikuttamassa makuja ympäriinsä suussa. Melko juotavaa, yllättävänkin. Suutuntumaltaan suht kevyttä. Tynnyri on joka käänteessä läsnä. Se on pehmeää, makeaa ja lämmittävää. Tarvii olla myös hiukan bourbonin ystävä jotta tätä arvostaa, koska kyllä se selvästi erottuu. Luulin tuon 16% olevan julmempi muttei sitä oikeastaan huomaa kuin mukavan lämmittävänä tunteena suussa ja kurkussa. Olisi tässä pullossa silti yksin ollut tekemistä, onneksi jaettiin. Äärimmäisen hienosti tehty olut joka pääsisi oikeuksiinsa takkatulen äärellä kylmänä pakkasiltana.

Coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Not an overwhelming amount of bourbon detected, which is pretty impressive at 16% abv. Vanilla and oak as well. This one's got a sweet bourbon flavor to it, followed by delicious coffee, chocolate, vanilla and oak, just as I picked up in the aroma. Bourbon is hidden very well for the abv, but it's got some heat to it as it goes down. This is a great beer. All of the flavors work well with each other without one being the star. If anything, the bourbon is the most noticeable, but it's still not overwhelming. Well balanced and incredibly smooth. I think I'm gonna grab one to age for a while. I won't be buying more, due to the price. This beer can range from $14 to $19 per 12oz bottle in my area, so it's pricey. Glad i picked it up and I can't wait to try an aged one in the future. I'm feeling pretty good and I still have half the glass left. 5/5
