Coconut and rum in the aroma. Taste has rum and coconut first, followed by vanilla and some chocolate on the back end. Slight cherry flavor as well. Coconut lingers into the aftertaste. Medium body with a medium-high, slightly prickly carbonation. I think this one is borderline infected. The high carbonation and slight cherry flavor is a pretty good indicator of that. They did have an infection issue with this beer, so we'll see what happens in the future. I'll continue to sip on this and will update if anything changes. 4/5

I'm getting a huge rum aroma and sweetness in this one. Huge coconut follows right after. Coconut hits first in the taste and is very prominent. Next, I'm getting a very sweet rum with some oak from the barrel aging right behind. This is a very sweet stout that I'd definitely consider a dessert beer. Totally different than I remember it being. I picked it up again due to many people in a Facebook group I'm a part of saying so many good things about it. I'm glad I did. I kind of wish the sweetness was dialed back a bit, but this is a very good stout. There's a lot going on in this one, but for what it's supposed to be, it's pretty darn spot on. I'd give it a 4.25/5 if it was a tad less sweet, but definitely a solid 4/5

Coconut and rum in the aroma. There's not really a whole lot going on in the taste. It tastes like a stout, the rum is there, but muted, not getting much coconut except in the after taste, faintly. I'm picking up a faint bit of coffee. As this gets closer to room temperature, the coconut is showing up more. The rum is still about the same, as is the coffee. This beer isn't bad; it's actually pretty tasty. It could use more work to make it even better. I've never had the original version, so I have nothing to compare it to. If the rum and coffee were more pronounced, I'd enjoy this more. As it stands, 3.75/5
