A product of traditional multiple mashing, Andechser Vollbier Hell presents a bright straw yellow and clear gleaming look that cannot fail to fascinate. Its head is firm and fine pored. Its aroma is pure and fresh from the cellar, with soft malty accents imbued with floral hoppiness. Its light and soft body leaves a pleasant, tangy taste in the mouth. The mild sweetness marries well with the velvety bitterness of the hops. It concludes on a rounded, harmonious note. Andechser Vollbier Hell is therefore a classical Bavarian Vollbier (11.5% original extract and 4.8% alcohol by volume).

Ein hellgelbes, glanzfeines Bier mit zunächst großer, gemischtporiger Blume. Es riecht ein klein wenig nach Getreide sonst eher neutral. Auch der Antrunk ist mild bis nichtssagend. Im Mund getreidig mit Anklängen von Malz. Der Abgang ist sehr mild gehopft. Zwar insgesamt stimmig aber sehr durchschnittlich. Hätte ich es nicht besser gewusst hätte ich es nicht für ein Andechser gehalten. Das Gebinde ist eine 0,5l NRW Flasche mit grünem Etikett.

It pours a very light and crystal clear as expected. Small micro bubbles so not harsh on the mouthfeel. Nice hit of hops in flavour with a little crisp citrus and that stinging nettle grassy bitterness but both in moderation with subtle finish. Suits the profile of dry crisp malts with no sweetness coming through at all
