Deth's Tar
14.8% Oatmeal Stout
Witness the firepower of this fully operational Barrel-Aged Imperial Oatmeal Stout. Brewed with English specialty malts and the addition of flaked and malted oats to create a rich, chocolaty profile and silky mouthfeel that cloaks its considerable strength. The American oak barrels continue to build layers of complexity, reminiscent of vanilla, toasted coconut and caramel candy after aging this dark menace a full 12 months.

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #7 Canned on 10-07-2020 Bourbon and chocolate notes stand out the most in the aroma. Taste has delicious bourbon hitting first, followed by dark chocolate notes, roasted malts and oak. Full body with low carbonation. Some people say this beer is on par with Bourbon County Brand Stout, if not better. I'm not sure I'd go that far. Given the choice, I'm reaching for the Bourbon County, but this is definitely an excellent and worthy substitute. 4.75/5

Upea runko. Tosi paksu, pehmeä, ryhdikäs ja makea. Maku myös todella hyvä. Paljon bourbonia, vaniljaa, suklaata ja myös kookosta. Iso positiivinen yllätys.

Bourbonia ja makeutta vähintäänkin riittävästi. Vaniljaa, pehmeä.

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #3 Canned 10-7-2022 Bourbon, chocolate notes, dark fruits (raisins, plums) and oak in the aroma. Taste has bourbon and the dark fruits first, followed by oak and chocolate notes. Nice complexity (with no adjuncts added) while still being very well balanced. The body is full with a low amount of carbonation. Just a lovely beer that never disappoints. Solid 4.75/5
