Gaina was the first IPA brewed by Birrificio Lambate. It is characterised by the large amount of hops used, especially through dry-hopping. The hops give the beer the fresh, lively citrous fruit flavours typical of this style of beer. In Lombardy slang, Gaina means Hen, the animal brought to mind by the uncertain, staggering gait of certain drunk people.
