i decided to have some beers during my Christmas break that I haven't had in a while. This is one.
Both chocolate and mint in the aroma in a great balance. Some bourbon follows.
Taste has chocolate, bourbon and a small but noticeable amount of mint coming in mid-palate.
It's definitely still tasty, but the mint has fallen off a good bit. 4.25/5

I've reviewed this before, but I'll do another. Bourbon, chocolate and mint in the aroma, in that order. Taste has bourbon and mint duking it out for the first flavor that's present, immediately followed by milk chocolate. A little bit of oak is also present. This one has been sitting in my pantry in non-cellar conditions for some time (bottled on 9-26-2017) and has developed beautifully. I can't wait to one day try the ones I have aging in the cellar. This is absolutely delicious. Delivers everything it promises. 4.5/5
As this warms up more, some coffee is starting to show up. Still 4.5/5

Aroma has both chocolate and mint with some bourbon and oak from the barrel aging. Taste has the chocolate and mint again in perfect harmony. The bourbon is definitely present, as is the oak, but the oak is a lot more subtle than in the aroma. Delicious stout that delivers all that it advertises. 4.5/5

Excellent balance of chocolate and mint. Mint is one of those ingredients that are hard to use in beer, but they pulled it off. A more subtle bourbon character in this one. Not much coming through as far as the oak character. Either way, this is a great stout. Well balanced and tasty.

Chocolate and mint in the aroma. I'm also getting some bourbon. Smells just as good as I remember it being. Mint is a hard flavor to integrate into a beer and not have it be overwhelming. This one hits that perfect balance. In the taste, the mint shines and the sweet milk chocolate mixed with it is just perfect. The bourbon is definitely present in the taste, but not the oak from the barrel aging. Mouthfeel is just right, with it being on the heavier side of medium. Can't wait to try this years down the road with some age on them. 4.5/5
