Peleg Hill Jr. (1757-1831) was our great, great, great, great grandfather and one of Greensboro's original inhabitants. In his honor, we crafted our interpretation of a traditional / historical old ale and reserved it with our resident microflora in third-fill bourbon barrels from some of our favorite distilleries. For over 18 months, it was allowed to leisurely develop its complex, unique flavors and express both the character of its environs and its history.
This inaugural batch of Peleg was brewed with our Danish friends Rune and Per Olaf from Bryggeriet Djævlebryg and Anders Kissmeyer of Kissmeyer Brewing.
