Scott Satterthwaite won our 2014 Homebrew Competition with his version of the Dortmunder Export- a classic, pale golden lager style hailing from Dortmund, Germany. True Dortmunder Export Lagers feature sweet, biscuity malt flavors and a full body, balanced with a good hop bite and spicy hop aroma. Scott's recipe executed each of these perfectly, earning him the title of "Best of Show" in this year's field of over four hundred beer entries. We're excited to have had the chance to brew this beer with Scott on our full system, and are counting down the days until we can start drinking pints of it with our Tasting Room guests. Come October, we'll be entering this beer on Scott's behalf in the 2014 Great American Beer Festival Pro-Am Competition. Will it go all the way? Stay tuned!
