Benchmark 4.0%, Bedlam Brewery, England

3.4
Benchmark
4.0% Bitter
Our "Best" is made with Goldings hops, to give a fine refreshing bitterness and Whitbread Goldings to impart sweet, fruity notes. The fresh hops are balanced by a rich malty character with a hint of chocolate. A great all-rounder, any time of year

Bottle-500ml. Good. A good standard beer. This was the first time drank and it was in February 2023.

An adequate English bitter, not sure what makes it a Benchmark though. Worth a second shot.

Nice fruity aroma and taste with a nice subtle bitterness. Slight sweetness to finish with. Decent session drink

It's ok, I normally like a bitter. This was nether bitter or smooth. Had a metallic almost sour taste.
