Aaaaah mikä hieman makea paahteinen tuoksu, jossa myös kahvia. Vaikka tässä on hiilihappoja aika lailla on suutuntuma saatu pehmeäksi. Maussa makeutta, paahdetta, kahvia ja suklaata. Jälkimaku jää pyörimään suuhun pitkään miellyttävän pehmeän kahvisena. Voittanut jonkun isomman palkinnon. Tämä panimo vakuutti jo vuosi sitten ja tuntuu että parantavat vain koko ajan.

Big fan of this right from the first sip. It pours with a luscious, foamy head and a thick, dark body. The taste is smooth but distinctive. A rounded dry hop giving an enjoyable roll around the mouth. Apparently it is an American Brown Stout, a new discovery for me, but I can see why this won the Gold Medal at the World Beer Awards (2016). Even the packaging is beautiful with simple brown and yellow colours, Brighton Bier's ubiquitous seagull motif, and a textured can wrap. It is 6%, but slips down way too easily for its strength. I can see myself having a great night and a rough morning if I found it in a pub on tap. Definitely one to look out for.

Downtown Charlie Brown is an American brown stout. It has flavours of chocolate and coffee and a silky smoothness that sets it apart from its rivals. Deeeelish.
