The glass is filled with opaque, very dark brown beer with flat carbonation. The head is absent. The nose is mild bitter coffee and faint bitter raw chocolate. Tastes somewhat watery, bitter black coffee with notes of raw chocolate and cocoa nibs. Oats drives the palate sweeter than normal. Fairly light-bodied. Ends with bitterish coffee which winds up quickly. Mouthfeel is flat, a bit watery and slightly dry.
