Independence Day Family Beer Share
Oaky and very malty aroma. Evidence of faded hops as well. Taste has a lot of maltiness, oak, booze and faded hops that are barely hanging on. Not really getting any bourbon, but there's so much going on that I think it's hidden. Flavorwise, this reminds me of a black IPA. 3.5/5

Lightly hazy amber DIPA. Malty sweetness rules the scent. Barrel aged and powerful. Woody boozyness with whiskey tones reminding me of Jack Daniels. Sweet and musty. Some dark fruits and mellow bitterness. Warming. Wouldn’t describe this as a DIPA more like a Barley Wine.
Forgotten to my cellar stash and long past it’s BB date and it shows 🙄 oops my bad. Have to get a fresh one for comparison.
