Malt with a pleasing tone of hops at first taste. Tried this after finishing a Scoth ale and expected a typical hoppy bitter taste. Wow, what a surprise! The hops are well balanced by the malt that makes this brew a pleasant surprise. I am intrigued by the fact that Epic tweaks the grains and hops from batch to batch making this a brew that is always evolving.

Bitter aroma and flavor with Fruity hops. Nice beer but not the best.
