I can always count on something nice when I buy Hopefully.
This poured flawlessly leaving a light or age body, but a slightly darker orange hue, mild haze and faint sediment. There was two fingers of off white foam that quickly settled and eventually left only trace amounts.
Scents of mango, orange, both pulp and peel, stonefruit and pine wrapping everything at the end.
The beer is medium bodied and mild in both catbonation and foam, with a decent juiciness to it too.
Taste starts out with a big mango kick, followed by a bittersweet spike from candied orange peel. This is tamed by the juicy orange pulp with starts to phase towards juicy peach with the pine resin slowly intensifying, as though it had been present throughout, rather than just arriving at the end to neatly wrap everything up.
Nothing new or groundbreaking with this west coast ipa but the quality that is delivered really raises it above all the others.
