New branding from Rascals, and a new beer too.
Pour from the can left a lucious, juicy orange body with tonnes of haze and one finger of soft white foam that retained very well throughout.
Aromas of mango and peach as the back bone, a slight undercurrent of white grape funk in which paves the way for the passionfruit hit.
Mouthfeel is foamy upfront, faint trace of a crisp bite but that is quickly washed away by the nice juiciness of the beer. One could argue that it has gone 'flat' but I think the lean into it is better suited.
Taste is at first a clash of citrus, sour lemon and sweet lime that leads into juicy mandarin. The sourness resurafces with renewed purpose and a firm passionfruit note. The passion fruit maintains its presence and mingles with some soft malts towards the end before seeing out the aftertaste.
This is an excellent neipa with a sour twist. It's almost a hybrid between the two, high my recommended.
