Turbid, dark chocolate brown beer with regular carbonation builds a silky, creamy head that climbs two fingers high. The foamy crown descends soon to a dense lace ring on the top.
Dark chocolate, raw cacao powder, dry white wine and oak barrel notes float in the air. The flavor cocktail includes dark chocolate, raw cacao nibs, brown malt, soaked oak barrel and wine. Interestingly, the wine is rather red than white but dry, for sure.
The body is medium-full. The tail fattens the red wine sector substantially while leaving the chocolatey components relatively unattended here.
The mouthfeel is medium-full, a tad deep, smooth, vinous and barrel aged. Better than Serge, yet, still not a colossal masterpiece.
