Advent Calendar Beer #️⃣5️⃣. Clear vermillion beer with shy carbonation produces a narrow rushed lacing that disappears quickly.
Blueberry must be in the scent. I can also pick a little tweak of lingonberry, moderate wheat malt and lactic acid. The name would obviously suggest salty licorice but it must be declared an absentee at this stage.
The gustatory experience is dominated by the already familiar blueberry. Good boy. The saucy babe lingonberry stays aside but is still identifiable. Salty licorice is quite weak in the standards of the world's leading salmiac superpower. I must say that if you wanna learn what salmiac can do for a beer, try CoolHead. This is a shadow of CoolHead's flavor bombs. Alright, let's continue. Wheat malt, again, in the maltbill but the lactic acid is a couple of decimals thinner now. Therefore, the gustatory trajectory copies the olfactory path but with slightly varying weights.
The body is light. Ends like it starts. Feels light, juicy, summery and a bit acidic. The mouthfeel is, additionally, drying and mouthcoating. This is a reasonably decent berry flavored Sour Ale but lackluster as a salmiac flavored beer, at best.
