Musta, ohut mokkavaahto.

Wasn't sure how to add this combo into Pint Please so I'm putting it with the base beer. The bartender/ brew master/ proprietor made me a custom blend of Perennial Artisan Ales' Abraxas stout and Founders Brewing Company's Rubaeus fruit beer. Wow!, the raspberry with the awesome stout base lifted both to a higher level. I did have to splash in a little more of the stout to tweak it to my tastes but, damn!, it was good.

Tasty! Wife shoved me out the door so I'm rating this later. Know it to be very good. I caught coconut in the nose and on the buds (so did my son) tho the description made no mention of it

Pehmeää konvehtia. Kookosta, oisko myös tonkaa? Likööriä ja ehkä vähän maitokahvia.

Tästä näköjään juonut jonkun aikaisemman vuosikerran. Edelleen ihan toimiva kahvisen suklainen, kanelinen sekä vaniljainen imppi stout. Pisteet aikalailla edellisen tasolla.

One for the road. A dessert. Opaque, very deep dark brown beer. Or is it black? Bright anyway. Impotent carbonation, what else? A marginal lacing pops up on the surface and dwindles then superfast to a gossamer lace ring. Coconut flakes seasoning dark chocolate. That's my first impression of the scent. Vanilla bean meets cinnamon. Is it tonka? Looks like it's not. It's vanilla bean and cinnamon stick. Fair enough. Oat cracker, cereal and a small amendment of licorice can be found in the shadows. And wait... something like smoked chili. Very faint. Chipotle? [Obviously not chipotle but ancho chili]. I do get a smoked hint though. Chili is not the flavor #1 on the tongue but it steps forward bravely. Easily recognizable. Not sure if it's smoked or not... Had I not known it's ancho, I would say yes, it's chipotle. Smoked chili. Okay, forward! Raw cacao bean, dark chocolate, a bit of licorice, vanilla, cinnamon. Coconut flakes? Well, not flakes but is there coconut in another form? Difficult to say. Probably not but such an idea is like an illusion. I'm imagining something that is not there. Dark malts, even black but not burned or dry. This is obviously not barrel aged but, at times, I'm getting rum or liqueur notes. The body is full. Not massive though. The finish doesn't, at least, hide the chili. Apparently vice versa. But marginally only. The basic flavor cocktail remains as it was in the beginning. Keeps my tastebuds active for a long time. The mouthfeel is full, deep, piquant but not really spicy. Moderately smoked although it's not. Very desserty but lacks layers. Not really rich. Glues lips, for sure. I could enjoy a bottle of this by the lake, watching the fish play in the water and the stars in the sky. Otherwise, this doesn't make a masterpiece.
