My experience @ l'Ermitage didn't blow my mind. I need a revanche. Therefore, a couple small Lambics @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas on the way back to the hotel. This place can't let me down. Can it...? Lambic #1 colors transparent, deep gold. A subdued foam on the top. White, what else? Oh Lord, what a scent!!! Sour. Massively. Wild yeast. Oooooo. Difficult to draw any conclusions of the scent. It can be mango or passionfruit or apricot or rhubarb. Or something else. But apple is obvious. So is green grape. I'd say it's at least rhubarb in the air, in addition to the apple and grape. The taste is ridiculously sour! The components include green apple, white wine, green grape, rhubarb, green gooseberry. Okay, maybe apricot, as well. Wheat malt definitely. And bowls of wild yeast. T-H-I-S+D-E-L-I-V-E-R-S!! The body is light to light-medium. The tail is sour fruity with apricot, rhubarb and grape. Definitely a banger! The mouthfeel is light-medium, super tart, puckering, funky and Belgiany. Relatively complex. A very beautiful Lambic!

Vahva lambicin tuoksu. Tuoksu ei kanna makuun, vaan maku on huomattavasti pehmeämpi, vaikkakin yhä selkeästi lambic. Aprikoosi erottuu pienesti pohjalla pehmeänä, raparperi maustaa hieman pinnalla happamuudessa. Tasapainoinen kokonaisuus ja omaan makuun erittäin hyvin osuva lambic.

Lambic from tap is quite uncommon to find, so I tried simply for curiosity. Hazy, pale straw yellow beer, with thin but durable layer of foam on top. Scent is to rhubarb, my nose doesn't find apricot. Taste is similarly to very dry and tart rhubarb flavors, accompanied with yeasty tones. Apricot is undetectable despite I really tried. Dry lambic is tasty every now and then, at the time of this review, it is then = yesterday. Typical tart lambic, small amount was ok.
