Says on the bottle that it is a red ale brewed with ancho chilles. Tastes more Belgium dubbel like with banana, clove, light hints of dark fruit leaning towards plum, with some candied sweet malt. I’m not really picking up the chilly peppers so no real “fire” with this one. I keep waiting for them to kick in but I’m 1/2 way thru this big bottle so I don’t think it will change.
