One for tonight. The appearance is exceptionally milky or milkshakey, like yellow pineapple ice cream. The obedient carbonation unleashes a hasty head that remains at one finger maximum. Soon anything that reminded me of a foam is gone. Anyway, this looks so awesome that nothing can go wrong here. I guess.
Oh yes. Mango, honeydew, pineapple and mandarin alternate in the creamy scent. Oat flakes undoubtedly in the grainbill. Very soft and milkshakey.
The tastebuds enjoy the creamy slam with embedded loftier citruses than those in the fragrance. I can spot lemon, blood grapefruit, regular grapefruit, pomelo, pineapple, a bit of mango and carambola there. What is really unique here is the enormous hop burn. It's really overwhelming. Not sure if I have ever encountered such a powerful hop burn before, this is insane! This would otherwise be very milkshakey but the hop burn confuses it big time. Anyway, oat flakes are definitely in the maltbill.
The body is full. Neatly so. The end is almost unbearable due to the hop burn and the superbiting citruses. Holy Mother, please, have mercy!
The mouthfeel is full, tropical, creamy, milkshakey, round, smooth and nectar-like. It's also crisp, dry and drying. It's seriously pinchy in the throat but not really warming though. Also somewhat heady.
I have always said that I 💚 hop burn, just like I 💛 diacetyl. However, this level of hop burn is excessive to be enjoyed properly. Can't help but snatching –0.2 stars from the overall rating because of that.
