Foam is light, strawy yellow. The head is thin and lacey. The colour has a hue of reddish amber, bit of brown, dull copper. Sweet, malty and biscuity on the nose, ripe, overly sweet pineapple. Punchy first bite, full, malty and earthy anisy or liquorice notes, ends with some peppery smoke on the sides. Hints of subtle bitterness and some of the strong alcohol pushes through at the very end. Overall this is a pleasant strong beer with a nice character.
