Mikkeller / Three Floyds, Warpigs Black Flame, pours pitch black with a small tan head. Intensive aroma of dark chocolate, hops, roast and coffee. Also some cherry and raisin notes. Heavy mouthfeel with medium carbonation, also being thick and syrapy with some booze sticking out. The taste is very sweet throughout, beginning off with some soy sauce and sweetness from dark fruits like plums and figs, quickly turning into more sweet chocolate with malts tapping along. Finish is roasty with some coffee along with hops and some booze. A big and dark imperial stout, quite unusually sweet with fruits rather than pure chocolate and leaving the dryness to the side a bit. Big, dark, complex, good. A little bit too sweet. 3.75/5
