Well this is just utterly disgusting. I wish I had read Mr Edgeworth’s review before buying. His review was very accurate. It has some badly stale roasted malt but is really loaded with hops. The hops have a slightly burnt hops taste that does not mesh well with the whole beer. My problem with his review is he may have overrated at .9. I may have overrated at .5. What a waste of $5.50 for what ended up being a drain dump.

Balanced malty and yummy

Another Duo with Ryan after Ohio State has just defeated Texas in the playoffs. The last beer was so bad we had to have another. This Christmas Porter should hit the spot. Modestly high tan head. Roasted malt and.... hops? First sip is roasted malt and a boatload of bitter hops. Not again. Not sweet, not soft, not smooth. Just deep roasted hoppy malt. I'm done. We will not end the night like this.

This was surprisingly good. This hits you with a lightly toasted biscuity and cracker malt up front. Then the citrusy hops that lean towards very light lemon and orange kick in. This is well balanced. Slightly sweet and slightly bitter. This is a good beer for when you something lighter but has a good flavor to it.
