This beer is dressed in a see-through, dark brown gown. The carbonation is somewhat shy and unleashes a cappuccino-colored head that can't climb even to half a finger and dissolves fast to a thin lace ring. The foamy crown is not the asset of this beer. The scent confuses me: I anticipate something dry and roasted but, instead, receive syrup. Okay, the color is not incompatible with such a nuance but the style wouldn't really take me in that direction. Anyway, a pinch of dark chocolate and truly distant plum join the syrupy vibe. Syrup isn't absent from the tongue either. Medium-sweet brown malt, dark chocolate, cola, a bit of molasses and spruce tip complete the experience. The spruce tip doesn't come as a surprise since it reads on the label and actually plays a cute role in the cocktail. Reasonable but I didn't expect it. The body is light-medium at maximum. The ABV could well merit more. Well, it is what it is. The tail doesn't really change its swing, it heads where the first encounter shows. The aftertaste left a typewriter at my apartment, straight from the way of the poets department; I think some things I never say, like, who uses typewriters anyway? The mouthfeel is light-medium, soft, lip-glueing, even moderately desserty. A slightly drying feeling still remains on the gums although there's definitely nothing roasty here. P.S. I had to check the 2021 BJCP Guidelines for the description of a Baltic Porter. What I just had is not entirely a typical BP but doesn't go beyond its limits either. Maybe something like a borderline case. Anyway, my rating doesn't emphasize the style characteristics too much now.

Nyt on varsin erikoinen yhdistelmä. Hedelmäistä paahteisuutta ja kuusenkerkkä puskee välistä vielä. Jotenkin silti toimii. 😄

huomattavasti parempaa kuin odotin. Onnistunut paahteisuus ja kyllä sen kerkänkin sieltä löytää, kun lähtee etsimään.

Vau, tää on hieno. Paahteisuutta, mutta myös kuusenkerkkä tulee esille. Kiva porter.

Ei kukkaa. Marjaisan maltainenen jossa kevyttä paahdetta. Suklaata sekä kahvia. Kahvia hedelmällisesti. Hennosti suklaata sekä paahdetta. Vetinen hieman. Aika hämmentävä. Tämä vois olla jopa kesäjuomana hyvä vaihtoehto.
