Typical Czech pour whereby half of the glass is foam, but the body beneath it is nice, golden yellow, semi transparent with lots of vibrant carbonation in the glass.
Scents of malted barley, doughy bread and dry crackers. Mild citrus hops can be found lurking in the back but don't hold a huge presence.
Mouth feel is crisp, with a bite not just from the carbonation but the bitter taste. It is a medium bodied beer that starts with waves of foam and firm carbonation, but as the head dissipated, the foaminess did too. It maintained its carbonation well though throughout.
Taste is fairy generic pils, bitter malt upfront quickly followed by doughy bread/pretzel/cracker. A mild hop profile rolls in, faint citrus, which breaks up the monotony a little but doesn't hold long as the malts resurface and dominate again.
Not a bad beer by any measure but I think I have pilsner fatigue.
