They say neccesity is the mother of all invention. In this instance, we disagree. An innocent mistake is the mother of this invention.
A regular batch of Santako was mistakenly given a double dose of hops bringing it to a colossal 23g/l dry hop. That is DIPA levels of hops. And the result is smashing. Booming with aromas of pine needles, fleshy orange and grapefruit and a some overripe peach on the back end. There is also a delicious gobstopper note that is so enticing. This is a West Coast IPA that has been pushed into a juicier territory yet retains plenty of dank notes. Anyway, this one off brew will be packaged in 440ml cans and won't stick around for long if the reaction of our brewers is anything to go by. And it's still gluten free!
