Leyana
4.5% Pale Ale - New England
Liberal use of Citra and Summit hops lends Leyana layers of citrus flavour, giving this easy-going session pale notes of orange pith and ripe tropical fruit, accentuated by the fruity esters from our trusty house yeast.
Hops: Citra, Summit

Vibrant Forest are not too far away from me and from what little of theirs I've tried before I'd say they're quite good. This beer is new to pint please but I don't know if it's a 2023 child. Pale sunshine coloured with a fair amount of head actually. Mouthwatering aroma, if not a bit too familiar and normal, it's definitely Citra but Summit hops you don't see all that often these days. It's fresh on the nose but not sharp with too much zest. Expect aromas of non specific tropical juice and orange, but altogether quite inviting. A well carbonated brew, light body and medium length finish that is mostly vacant of pine but it is still there via Citra. This is not remarkably juicy, as is typical of a pale, it has a bit of tang to it and orange pith really is the strongest flavour, just as the can advertises. A bit of grapefruit, bit of pine, bit of papaya maybe.. certainly a tropical hint. Boring would be unfair as this beer is well executed. It's a good example of a N.E. pale. I'd prefer either more juice or more floral air.
