Oikein kelpo juoma. Ei silti mitään erikoista. Pieni kitkeryys, sen jälkeen maistuu perusjuomalle.

Pien Webshopin (Black) Beer Friday Mystery Box olut #12/17. Tölkitetty 30.03.2023, parasta ennen 29.03.2024. Kerrankin päiväyksiä löytyy tölkistä! Olut on väriltään meripihkanruskea ja vaahtoa kertyi pari sormellista. Tuoksu on maltainen, kypsän hedelmäinen. Maku on maltainen, mausteinen, hiivainen, kypsän hedelmäinen. Kitkerää tässä ei ole edes nimeksikään. Tylsä olut!

Reilunsormenleveyden verran vaaleaa nopeastilaskevaa vaahtoa samean persikankeltaisen valoaläpipäästävän semiläpinäkyvän oluen yllä joka tuoksuu kepeän katkeran pihkaisen maltaiselle ja maistuu kuivan olkisen rapsakan pajuisen katkeralle, silleen kolmen ja puolen bojon verran. PE: 29/03/24.

Ihan ok, muttei mitenkään oikein hyvä. Bitterin ominaisuudet, jotka aikaisemmin ovat tulleet tutuiksi jää vähän pimentoon ja käteen jää vahvemmin sellainen hieman raikas kalex. Ei sitä, mitä odotan bitteriltä.

Pehmeä ja makoisa bitteri. Sekä ohra- että vehnämaltaan makua on mukavasti eikä humalienkaan osalta ole moitittavaa. Hiivasta puolesta tämä onkin sitten nappisuoritus 👌

Very late night dinner. Fried pike. My dinner times are getting closer to the South European style. 😅 The dinner beer is dressed in lucid amber. Carbonation is standard. A pure white, one-finger foamy lid can be found on the surface for some time. The nose gets quite modest aromas only: malt cracker and grassy hops. Simplicity is understandable but the very low intensity is even disturbing. As if I were trying to sense something that wouldn't be there. Malt and hops are the rulers of this empire. Very friendly, nothing hostile, not even challenging. Hey wait a second, do I spot truly distant diacetyl? Wish I would so as to escape from the boringness. Not sure though. The body is light. The end tries to verify my observation of diacetyl. Otherwise the only difference to the actual taste is a slight change in weight of malt and hops, for the benefit of the latter. The aftertaste lets the freak flag wave, lets the freak flag fly, it will never take it down but raise it way up high. The mouthfeel is light, moderately crisp, still relatively soft and smooth, maybe also a bit old-school. Balanced and easy. I would certainly welcome a more husky slam but it's not really there.
