Now something hazy, looks like mango juice. Beautiful. The adaptive carbonation releases a fluffy, almost whipped-creamy head that rises two fingers high. The long retention sustains a cute lace ring and haze on the top. Messy downpouring traces can be detected on the glass.
Lactose is inevitable in the scent. I can also spot orange jam that contains bits and pieces of orange peel. A small amendment of mango plus faint tangerine can be added to the list. Surely an oaty backbone it has.
The tastebuds like orange peel, modest orange jam, mango, maybe persimmon, moderate lemon, marginal resin and truly distant strawberry jam. Lactose rounds the corners significantly. Suggestions of biscuit and oat cracker work in the basement. Interestingly, ripe fruity and crisp flavors collide here; still, this is more fruity than crisp.
The body is full, though not exceptionally robust. But full anyway. The finish intensifies citrusy flavors like lemon and a newcomer grapefruit peel. Some pine needles enter the scene, too. Darling, don't quit your daydream; it's your life that you're making; the aftertaste ain't big enough if it doesn't scare the hell out of you.
The mouthfeel is juicy, somewhat tropical, ripe but not overripe, full, soft and smooth. It's also a tad drying and marginally crisp towards the end. Lip-glueing, as well.
The canning date has been printed so that I fail to interpret it correctly but this must have passed its optimal time which is the first two months maybe. I conclude it from the fact that this was at discount. Yet, this has stood the test of time astonishingly beautifully. 💛🧡
