Second try and in a can rather than keg, happy to say it’s still a thing of beauty! Truly a liquid dessert, with heady aromas and a roller coaster of different tastes. They’re all in there and discernible, big hazelnut, cinnamon spice, mellow vanilla, creamy milk and dark chocolate, dark fruits reminiscent of Christmas pudding, then sweet slightly smoked oaked bourbon adds a hit of warmth on the finish, just to remind you of the high abv in case you’ve forgotten it’s alcoholic. Pitch black and almost no lingering carbonation, it’s oily, lip licking sticky and absolutely bloody brilliant!

What a finale, thick and oily with massive sweet dark fruit, chocolate cake, roasted malt, praline and hazelnut liqueur flavours. It’s sickly in a good way and brings thoughts of Christmas prematurely to the fore. I can’t even express how good this is. An unforgettable beer, properly amazing!!
