Dragonaut was the first brew by Holy Goat I tried and I love it, so high hopes for this guava version. It's appearance couldn't be more different, not pink hues here it's honey amber coloured and hazy, even retaining some head. I'm getting large amounts of golden sour on the nose with only a hint of other softer fruit. First sip is very sour, which I have grown to love, but others may be killed off by this! I feel you can't have half measures with a sour, so a nice cutting first sip that makes you grimace is ideal! Second sip reveals the wheaty finish and the soft juicy body. It gets sweeter with each repeat. It's definitely nicer than a basic golden sour, which I had last. I'm not overly familiar guava, it's not sometime I have everyday but it's use is noticeable. I just read that passion fruit was also used and now it's obvious. The base brew was tropical to begin with but fermented on pink guava and passion fruit really has turned this into a juicy tropical hot bed. Sweet and sour, soft and juicy. Gorgeous.
