This adventure begins with the tale of two barrels. The first chapter was a 4 month slumber in freshly emptied bourbon barrels chosen by our brewers. The beer was then transferred to a new set of barrels hand-selected by our friends at Binny's Beverage Depot, where it rested for an additional 6 months. The extra aging period has taken this special Reserve to new heights, providing rich notes of vanilla, chocolate, and oak in a legendary way.

Rich chocolate notes, bourbon, vanilla and oak are all present and very noticeable in the aroma. Taste has bourbon first, followed by chocolate and vanilla. The oak shows up in the mid-palate and lingers through the finish and into the aftertaste.
The body is full with an appropriately low amount of carbonation.
This is just great. This is everything regular Dragon's Milk is, but amplified in the best way. Knowing what I know now, I wish I'd bought a ton more. Oh well, that's life. 4.75/5
