Brought this back from Texas. A little nervous, 903 will use artificial flavors occasionally. When they do it's very apparent.
Had a small head to start but it's gone now. Very hazy with a lot of effervescence. No particulates, whoops, there are particulars, lots. Chunky pieces landing on the bottom. Aroma is super sweet, like confectionery sugar. Don't smell raspberry or orange or chocolate. Smells like the white icing from long ago birthday cakes. As expected, the flavor is exceedingly sweet but it has raspberry and white chocolate. No orange. The intense sweetness is probably masking the artificial characteristic somehow but I believe it's there. Late in the finish I finally get a small trace of wheat malt.
I love dessert stouts and have no problem with sweet beers but this is way over the top for me. Like liquid birthday cake icing. I could probably finish it but I'd rather let it go and see what else is in the fridge.
