Still having beers on my first night in Texas. Not sure how many anymore but I know this is a very special one. My son-in-law Ryan is sharing his 1900 beer. Using my Christmas present that I just received, 903 Brewery glass. Watching the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts, taking care of business.
Small but decent head. Strong aroma of dark fruit and black licorice. Soft, medium texture. Has a powerful sweetness of dark fruit, combination of black cherry and raisin. Alcohol is there but not overpowering, stays hidden in the background but complements the overall experience. Finish brings forth the alcohol, a light burning sensation, and a sweet lasting maple sensation.
This 903 Brewery special edition is definitely a good beer. But expectations were so high.
