From the second you open this and get a whiff of what's inside, you know it's going to be a really old school ipa.
Unfortunately it fell down at the first hurdle as the pour was quite flat and while it left a body of nice amber with a golden hue, it left the tiniest traces of white foam that dissipated very quickly. There was some carbonation so not all was lost although I get the feeling I need to hurry up or that will quickly fade too.
Aroma is mild pine resin and bitter malt underneath candied orange peel and overripe mango.
The feeling in the mouth is a little crisp at first before turning largely foamy. Mild carbonation remains throughout but remains largely in the background, making the medium body more well rounded.
Taste is mango, orange peel and faint pineapple before the malts roll in and take over. Toffee hits first followed quickly by sweet biscuit then a small trace of doughy bread before the bitter pale malt rides out the aftertaste.
A good old school ipa.

Not once, not twice, but triple hopped. Must have helped as it tastes good. Cheers!
