Yuengling Black & Tan
4.7% Porter
Yuengling Black & Tan models a traditional English Half & Half. Introduced in 1986, Yuengling produced one of the first hand-crafted draft blends to lead this style of American brewing. Black & Tan combines 60% of our popular Dark Brewed Porter and 40% of our Premium Beer to create a brew that is rich and dark in color with hints of caramel and coffee from the dark roasted malts.

First time I've had this on tap. Just as good as the bottle version.

Did a small experiment: with four flight glasses, I combined a Yuengling Black and Tan with a Busch Light Peach. I did a 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, and a 4:1 ratio with the 1 being the peach. Didn't like the 1:1 at all. 2:1 started to get interesting. 3:1, ok, I could like this. 4:1, I can see doing this occasionally. Overall, fun to try.

This is a Public Service Announcement/ reminder that this coming Friday is International Beer Day. Just having an IPA in front of this, I almost dropped this"rating"/ post a couple tenths because it seemed too... light. But then I remembered one reason why l love having this on hand; cold, lager comes thru, warm, porter comes thru. I can have two flavors on hand in the space of one. Cheers!
