Nice with chocolate and vanilla, peanut butter was faint but overall a nice stout.

Life got real busy, so I haven't rated a beer in a while. Ryan and I have been staring at this beer for a while, an imperial chocolate stout. Poured with a modest head that disappeared rapidly. Only had a small ring around the glass after a short time. Aroma of chocolate and peanut butter. The texture was thin, almost cola like. Flavor quickly delivers chocolate and then a bitter peanut butter. It's the peanut butter that was off. Probably the chocolate too. Definitely artificial. Time to move on to another beer.

This Duo beer was provided by Ryan and is one of my favorite styles. An Imperial chocolate peanut butter stout. The 7.6% seems low for an imperial. Started with a high chocolate foamy head but disappeared before I could get the camera ready. Both Ryan and I were put off by the aroma. The chocolate seemed a bit off and made us suspicious that it's artificial. Texture is soft but not creamy, turns dry by the middle and a desert in the finish. Took several sips and much discussion to conclude that this is definitely artificial and not done in a particularly good manner. Extremely disappointed and I'm not going to drink anymore of this. Artwork on the can gets 5.0.

Very smooth, tastes like drinking a candy bar. Can’t complain with that
